Traci Simonton was born in a small town in Eastern Pennsylvania, where she spent her early years before trading snowy winters for the sunshine of Florida.
Traci Simonton knows what it means to root for the underdog. Born in Pennsylvania but raised by Florida’s sunshine, she’s spent over 20 years making sure schoolchildren eat well and college students learn leadership. When she’s not teaching business classes or planning meals, she’s writing stories that celebrate quiet courage like the kind she sees in her own bull terrier, Dilly, who inspired A Home for Rukkus.
Family is her compass. With her husband, Dave, she’s built a lively home filled with four grown kids, five grandchildren, and a dog who rules the couch. Traci spends weekends whipping up mystery games for her grandkids, reading thrillers, and sneaking veggies into Dilly’s snacks (he loves cucumbers as much as pizza crusts). Her mission is to remind the world that love isn’t about perfection; it’s about seeing the magic in what others ignore.
